What is the inspiration behind UV Glow Run?
The UV Glow Run™ was inspired by several awesome events, including Disney’s World of Color, Electric Run, Mud Runs, Color Run, and festivals throughout the world such as Holi. We wanted to create a less stressful, untimed running environment that was more about health and happiness than competition. We hope that The Color Run can act as a catalyst to inspire continual healthy living.

Is UV Glow Run a rave?
No. The UV Glow Run will feature many of the same light elements that could be found at a rave, but the focus of UV Glow Run is on health, fitness, and celebrating with friends. We believe everyone, no matter their age, should be able to experience music and lights in an environment that is healthy and happy. There is no tolerance for drugs or alcohol at the event.

Is this a timed event?
UV Glow Run is an untimed event. For anyone who wants a finish time, we suggest self-timing. This is not a “race”; this is an experience. UV Glow Run is all about feeling healthy, having fun, dancing your heart out, and spending an amazing night out with your friends. As you make your way through each Dance Party Zone, we encourage you to hang out, dance, and make it a fun, memorable night.

How do you feel about walkers?
Walkers are very welcome! We can’t blame you for wanting to take it slow and dance the night away. We just ask that if you choose to walk, stay to the right so runners can pass safely on your left.

Is UV Glow Run a charity or a non-profit organization?
The Color Run, LLC is a for-profit event company.

Registration

What is included with my registration?

If you purchased an Economy Class Emerald or Junior Economy Class Amethyst ticket, you will receive the 2024 limited edition UV Glow Kit complete with a UV Headband, GLOW Packet, UV Vest, and Medal.

• If you purchased a VIP Class Ruby or Junior VIP Class Tanzanite ticket, you will receive the Limited-Edition Doha 2024 kit Neon Bracelet, GLOW Packet, NEON Vest, and Medal.
• All runners will be emailed about 7 days prior to the race with information on dates and locations for the Check-In Party.

Can spectators attend the post-race finish festival?
Absolutely. We will have kit packets available on a first-come, first-serve basis for everyone to purchase at the UV Glow Run Store.

• Check-in Party: Free! Pick up your Participant Kit 7-10 days before the event from the Qmood office.
• Shipped to you: You’re already checked in! We’ll meet you at the start line, ready to go. (No check-in necessary.)
• Day of Event: You just checked in before the event within 3 days, QAR 20. Pick up your Participant Kit when you arrive in the evening.
  
  

Details will be posted to the city event page during the week of the race. The details will also be emailed to you approximately 7-10 days before the event. You can pick up kits for other runners at the Check-in Party or race morning as long as you have a printed or electronic copy of their confirmation email with the QR code on it!

Should I bring my own glow stuff?
Shop for LED and glow gear at the UV Glow Store. Come let your light shine and your creative juices flow while adding your own creative spark by dressing up in costumes that glow, shine, blink, and dazzle. Show us what you’ve got!

Can someone else pick up my packet for me?
Yep! You just must send them with a copy of your confirmation email (printed or electronic) with your unique barcode to pick up your goods!

Can I transfer my registration to another person or another city?

Yes, registrations are transferable to another person. If you can’t attend, we can mail you your participant kit for a small shipping fee.

• You cannot transfer your registration to the next event in another city.

Are there refunds?
Unfortunately, we cannot issue refunds. The logistics of setting up and planning the event make it impossible. Just make sure you are good to go before signing up. If for some reason you can’t make it to race day, at least come to the check-in, you can still pick up your UV Glow Run gear or see below how to transfer your registration.

What happens if there is bad weather?
A little rain won’t stop The Happiest 3.5k-5k. It even makes the UV Glow brighter! If there are major weather warnings in your city during the weekend of the event, check the city event webpage and stay tuned for emails with updates. UV Safety & Cleaning

Is the UV Glow Run Safe?
We conduct thorough testing to ensure the safety of our materials and their application. The health of our participants and employees is always our top priority. As a professional events company with highly vetted policies and processes, we ensure the safety of our materials and their application.

What If I Am Pregnant?
It’s totally up to you and your doctor. We see many pregnant runners at our races, and they’re the cutest ones out there!
The UV lights are all certified harmless rays. We recommend wearing sunglasses or goggles.

Is It Safe to Bring Cameras and Phones into the UV Glow Zones?
For safety, we always recommend covering cameras/phones with protective dust wrap. UV Glow Run is not liable for any damage that might occur to your phone or camera.

General

Do I Have to Be an Experienced Runner to Participate?
Nope. There are plenty of 3.5k-5k races out there that test speed and performance. However, UV Glow Run is a non-competitive and untimed 5k filled with UV glow that you can experience with friends and family. You’re free to run, jog, walk, or cartwheel along the course!

Can Children Participate?
If your child can cover the three miles of the UV Glow Run course (whether running, jogging, walking, or strolling), they can absolutely participate!

Are Strollers Allowed?
Yes! You’re welcome to bring strollers or wagons to UV Glow Run.

Can I Run with My Dog/Cat/Turtle?
For the safety of our runners and animal friends, we do not allow animals at any of our races.

What Happens If My Child Gets Lost?
Participants who will be running with children are encouraged to pick up a wristband for their child. You can pick up a wristband at the check-in party and write your name and phone number.
