MrMo aka Andre Swanepoel started his career in the music industry as a radio presenter on Peace radio 2000 and CTFM 101.4 FM in 1994. After coming back from Johannesburg doing a stint in voice-overs for the state public broadcaster, he established a music distribution company Solid Records, which ultimately became African Dope Records in the year 2000.

In the next 10 years he started promoting live acts from the African Dope stable in Europe and South Africa, which lead to the creation of Mofunk Productions, a production company specializing in live music events, festivals and corporate events. He now runs Noisemaker music events specializing in live music events and corporate launches. He has produced 3 albums and released 26 singles to date.

As a DJ and club promoter he has hosted over 600 events, but is best known for his Mofunk events, the ultimate in Disco, Funk and Soul. There have been parties nationally in South Africa and internationally in Dubai and Bahrain. Mofunk was voted Best urban Night by Time Out Magazine Dubai 2012.

Mr Mo played the Official World Cup fan park at The Parade in 2010, with a 27 000 capacity from all over the world. He was the main DJ for the 14th Annual Cape Town Jazz festival 2013 on the Mannenberg Stage. He is the main DJ for the L’Omarins Queens plate, and has done so for the past 5 years.

In 2015 he has done private DJ work for Fabiani’s ,Formative events, Kove Group, Belmont Mount Nelson and The Alphen Hotel

Mr Mo plays a diverse mix of music but his love is still Funk, Disco House and House. On the weekends in 2016 he is resident at The Gold Bar and The Bank in Cape Town. He also plays at The Waiting Room and Jade Lounge.
